Flesh Mask Face Tutorial

This a tutorial for the face portion of this Flesh Mask look.

1) Cut up some tissue paper to use for the flesh.
2) Take some latex and start applying it in the areas you want the flesh to peel up.
3) After you layer the latex/tissue 3-4 times, let it dry.
4) Once it dries, peel up and rip the inside (to look up peeling flesh)

5) You can start laying down color with some red and maroon body paints, I like to focus the lighter colors in the inside and get darker toward the outside.

6) And lastly I added some thick blood and liquid blood to give me some dimension. You can also let some of the blood drip down your face for a bit more creepiness.

Ta-Da! Here's your finished look!

And here's a picture of me after I ripped off the tissue/latex. let me know if your recreate this look by tagging #oliviamargaretsfx on Instagram!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Experience

Last night Ian and I went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Fl. We have gone to Disney multiple times before, but never to this event. And it was magical.

Ian and I dressed as Donald and Daisy Duck, almost everyone there was dressed up as something. The first thing we did when we got there was...buy some rain ponchos because it was pouring out;

(Ian and I wet from the rain^^)

Then we attempted to ride Space Mountain but it was closed do to technical difficulties.

And since it was still pouring we decided to head to our favorite indoor ride, The Haunted Mansion. Which was super cool during this event because all the employees of the ride were dressed especially creepy. Lucky after the ride the rain had stopped.

And toward the end of the night we got to see the most amazing Disney fireworks i've ever seen!

And lastly we had to get one of the special desserts they only have during this event. Isn't this cupcake so cute?? I normally don't go for chocolate cake, but this was really yummy!

Can't wait for next year!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Couture Palette Swatches

Today i'm going to be showing you swatches of the new Shadow Couture Palette by ABH. I love this palette, it is so pigmented and stays all day long.

All these swatches are going left to right starting with Soft Peach.
These shades are beautiful, if you don't have this palette you should defiantly pick it up! I also believe you can get these colors individually on the ABH website.

Bleeding Eyes

Another creepy, simple, Halloween look! Can't you tell these are my favorite??

1) Grab some Pro Wrap in white, or any white fabric that can wrap around your face.

2) Hold the section up to your eyes and make marks with pen to show where your eyes are. (you can also cut small holes out during this step so you can see.

3) Take a red and burgundy colored body paint and color in the eye spots. I'm using Joe Blasco's Creative Color in Red and Maroon. 8.99$

Should look something like this ^^

4) Apply blood on top of the body paints to create more texture and dimension. I'm using Joe Blasco Liquid Blood and Ben Nye Thick Blood 6.50$

Should look like this ^^

5) And lastly take some of that liquid blood and throw some on your face and hands.

Full Coverage, Fall Look

Hey guys tonight i'm going to be telling you all how to create this fun Fall look. I hope you enjoy.

1) I apply NYX Honey Dew Me Up to my cleaned skin 17.00$
2) Tonight I am going for full coverage so i'm using Born This Way Foundation by Too Faced, I am in the shade Warm Nude and also used this as an eyeshadow primer.. I am obsessed with this foundation! 39.00$
3) I like to apply my concealer last, I always apply under my eyes and on any blemishes. I am in the shade, medium. 5.00$

4) I always like to apply my "transition shade" first. I do so by using a fluffy brush and applying the shade Morocco all over my crease from the outer to inner corner.
5) Next, for this look I took the shade chic and applied it all over my lid.
6) And lastly for my shadow I used a tapered dome shadow brush and applied Fudge in my outer crease to add some extra depth.
*The palette I am using is the Shadow Couture Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills and it's amazing, the shadows are so pigmented and last all day! For 30$ this is a steal!*

7) Apply eyeliner, you can apply yours however you like. But today I did a classic wing. I use Elf Liquid Eyeliner, and its my favorite. Iv'e been using it for years! 2.00$
8) Apply your favorite mascara, i'm using Calvin Klein One Volumizing Mascara. 18.00$
9) And for brows I use ABH Dip Brow in Carmel. 18.00$

Our progress so far ^^^

10) For contouring I used the Smashbox Contour Palette and basically follow the diagram that comes with it, I apply the light shade under my eyes, fore head, and chin. Then I take the bronze shade and buff that all over my face, and lastly I take the contour shade and apply that just under my cheekbone. 45.00$
11) And lastly for my face I take my favorite product at the moment, Becca Cosmetics, Champaign Pop by Jaclyn Hill . I apply this on the top on of my cheekbone, and above and below my brows. 38.00$

AND LASTLY, I know, I know...

12) I apply Sin by Mac Cosmetics all over my lips. 17.00$
13) And on top for a little shine I applied NYX Butter Gloss in, Devil's Food Cake.

And this is the completed look! I don't wear nearly this much makeup everyday but I though this was just a fun look for fall. Hope you all enjoyed!

Black Dahlia

1) I used 3rd Degree Silicone Compound to create the outline of the smile. Don't worry about making it perfect, you can make it all jagged and torn-like. Let it dry completely.
2) While letting the 3rd Degree dry you can do the rest of your face as you please.
2) Line the cuts with a deep red shade. Drap some of that onto the outer corner of your lips.
3) Then I covered the red with Ben Nye Scab Blood to make it seem more dimensional. Also drap out to your lips.
4) Add some drips of liquid blood. I use Joe Blasco's Liquid Blood.

*The blood used in this tutorial will dry completely and stay all night perfect for a Halloween party!*

Upside Down Cross Makeup

Another simple makeup look for Halloween! This is deff super easy if you're looking for something a little bit more demonic or scary this year.

1) Base your face out in a lighter skin tone, you can use cheap body paints from your local Halloween store or a lighter foundation. you can also base out your chest too depending on what you plan on wearing.
2) Add some darker tones under your eyes to make them look tired and sunken in. I just used different brown toned eyeshadow I already own.
3) Apply your prothetic I used OliviaMargaretSFX upside down cross from my Etsy shop, ill post the link at the end of this post so you can get the same one. The prosthetic I am using is is silicone based and can be adhered to the skin using 3rd Degree Silicone Compound, Skin Tite and Spirit Gum.
4) Once you prosthetic is applied you can color it in with some red body paint or Alcohol Palette. I used the Skin Illustrator alcohol palette.
5) Lastly I took some liquid blood and put it on my hands, then rubbed it on my face, neck and chest.

You can purchase my prosthetics here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/OliviaMargaretSFX

Pre/Post-Op Barbie

With Halloween right around the corner I wanted to start out my blog with a little "sexy" look you could do fairly quickly with a few makeup products you probably have at home.

Barbie Before Surgery:
1) I started out doing a basic glamour makeup, make sure you use eyeliner, fake lashes and pink lipstick for that "Barbie" effect
2) Use an eyeliner pencile (brown or black) and start drawing where you would get plastic surgery (i.e. face lift, chip, lips, cheeks, under eyes, boobs) anything to be dramatic.
3) Pair that with Barbie like hair and clothes and you'll be ready to go!

Post-Op Barbie:
1) Smudge all the eyeliner marks
2) Use some fake blood to look like incisions
3) You can also use Scab Blood by Ben Nye for an extra bloody effect

This is one of the most simple tutorials ever, and I had so much fun creating it! Who wouldn't want to be Barbie for a day??

A Little About Me

Hiiiiiiii everyone, I wanted to use my first blog post to let you guys know a little bit about me. I was born in New Jersey and moved to SW Florida in 2004, and most recently made the amazing move to Central Florida! I graduated from Cosmetology School in December 2013 and realized I HATE DOING HAIR, I applaud the people that can deal with pruney hands and prickly hair down their bra/shirt all day. BUT I did realize that I can make a career our of my true passion, makeup! That was when I decided to make the move to attend Special Effects Makeup School, I graduated in August 2015 in the Masters of Makeup Program. I am extremely blessed, I have the perfect little apartment, with the perfect boyfriend, in the most perfect city. I am also a kitty and tortoise mom, they're names are Mr.Torti and Miss Kitty (yes, I am serious) I plan on using this blog to post mostly about SFX and Beauty Makeup, but also adding in some other "life" posts as well. LET'S DO THIS.
